THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING

The mind is known to be man's most potent and powerful weapon as it is the engine where thoughts, ideas, decisions are produced which may be either positive or negative. 

Technology, fashion, entertainment, politics, religion, literature is being reshaped continuously through the reign of humanity as a result of positive thoughts churned out from the minds of positive and creative thinkers.

Your thoughts can reshape your destiny. A positive thinker is always optimistic and radiates  the light of optimism while extending it to others in form of encouragement and uplifting others. Never give up on your dreams and aspirations, it may take a while but it will be actualized with time and perseverance.

One of my favourite quotes by Thomas Edison says "I haven't failed! I've just found 10,000 ways that wont work!".

People have failed because of their negative thinking and it is detrimental to hang around negative people with negative thoughts since they tend to influence you with their negative thinking. Negative thoughts generates complains and depression, while resulting to gross ingratitude to life and nature. Some people have lost their life's through suicide  by giving up on life from their negative thinking not knowing what gift awaits them on a destined day.

A striking and fascinating example of a positive thinker and winner was David in the bible, he defeated Goliath with the power and faith of positive thinking (1Sam. 17). He was a man after God's heart because he was always filled with praise, dance and gratitude to God. 

Napoleon Bonaparte one of the greatest French military strategist and solider was known for his courageous and positive thinking that aided him in conquering.

Mark Zuckerberg transformed the world of internet and social media with quality, creative and positive thinking which birthed Facebook.

Great poets, authors, musicians, painters, athletes, engineers, doctors and a host of other professions has made the world a better place with the creative and evident results of positive thinking.

We have been created for a purpose to actualise destiny with the power of positive thinking.

THE CAMARADERIE OF FRIENDSHIP

Friendship is a gift, awarded by the Supreme Being of nature. I've been blessed with some quality friends recently that gave me a new perspective to life. It's of utmost importance to sail with friends that are of like minds and headed towards a positive goal(Prov. 13:20). Your circle of friends will determine your level of success and thinking. Friends that don't have the same mindset and vision with you can be potential envious enemies. So one has to be very careful mingling with enemies while perceiving them as friends. I call them hidden enemies, backstabber, backbiters, their position will always be behind you.

You will always be ahead of your enemies if God is on your side. Good Friends can also act as prominent helpers of destiny, advising you to tread on your promised pathway of destiny. Some friends will help in achieving your dreams, while some will derail your from the path of your dream.

The bible highlighted a fascinating story of good friendship that blossomed between David and Saul's son Jonathan(1Sam. 18:1-5), their friendship saw a test of time through destined trials that David encountered after king Saul enviously sought after his soul when he saw David as a competitor for his kingdom and throne when he triumphed in killing Goliath who has been a pestilence for the children of Israel over a period of time and therefore won the praise and glory of Israelites.

Any friendship that is detrimental to realising your destiny must be terminated. Cut-off fake friends, and appreciate real friends. I pray for someone reading this journal that your fake friends will be revealed to you while your helpers of destiny that will manifest as real friends will locate you speedily.

Celebrate good friends and always be available as a real friend to someone also, because it's vice-versa.

The camaraderie of friendship is like a ship of friendship, sailing to the promised land of friendship, encountering and overcoming storms of friendship to get to the promised treasure island of friendship.

THE DECISION

A decision simply defined is the act of making up your mind about something. Decisions play a vital role in shaping our life while affecting relationships, and circumstances also, which in turn has spiral effect on the outcome it produces be it a positive or negative one.

In one way or the other, the world at a certain time has been reshaped with powerful decisions. Decisions changes and makes history.

Man was created by God as a result of a solid decision and the world came into existence by the proclamation of a decision by God, that said “Let there be Light” (Gen. 1:3).

Looking back over the years and the harrowing journey of life, I must confess that certain decisions has thus brought me this far, realigning and reshaping my fulfilled destiny.

I recently made a decision to cut off friends that have not added value positively to my life, instead there are like parasites that will suck you dry and leave you in an unfulfilled state.

The world today is availing to latest technologies ranging from phones, auto-mobiles, home appliances, high tech medical equipment, computers, internet, fashion, music and entertainment which are veritable results of positive decisions.

Human beings are being creative through the power of positive decisions, and life's are being affected through this great decisions.

Politics and diplomacy is being reshaped by powerful decisions, a decision can result into Peace or War, between nations.

Recent threats of the nuclear weapons possessed by North Korea is being tackled with diplomacy by the U.S through cordial negotiations and decisions in order to avert a Third World War, which would be very devastating and abysmal.

At certain times in life we are caught up at cross-road of decisions and if care is not taken we are prone to make a mistake in decisions we choose that will have a spiral effect on our life's afterwards.

You need to pray and consult God about certain decisions you intend to take so you will be guided spiritually in undertaking such decisions. I pray for anyone reading this journal that they will never make a wrong decision in any project they are planning to under take in Jesus name, Amen.

Make the best decision today and never look back on it and you will move forward and affect humanity with a positive decision.

LESSONS FROM A RAINY SEASON

Rainy seasons like we all know can be very inconveniencing howbeit the agricultural and natural advantages that cannot be overlooked which reduces famine and promotes good harvest of agricultural products.

In Africa, we tend to look forward to rainy seasons a lot because of Africa's survival depends on agriculture from primitive farming to commercial farming which utilises more technologies to increase agricultural produce.

The rainy season in Nigeria, a prominent country in West Africa usually starts from the months of June – September. This years rain in my own opinion should be termed “Showers of blessings”. The rain this year was super fantastic, and residents of Lagos, Nigeria has been awed by the downpour of heavy rain that continued for days almost totaling Seven (7) days and if not more. Before this continuous rain commenced, I washed some set of clothes and waited for this rain to be over before they could get dried up by a promising sun that we all patiently waited for.

Roads, schools, markets and houses were flooded with this heavy downpour of rain. What a wonderful God we serve, imagine if it had rained continuously, humanity on this part of the earth would find it difficult to adapt.

On a glorious destined day, a shinning and hot beaming sun lighted up the sky with so much glory, and power reminding us that an omnipotent God still controlled the weather and science cannot really be accurate in its weather forecast. While riding back home on a public transport bus, I overheard a woman complaining of the suddenly hot sunny weather, which made me ponder if human beings can ever be satisfied with whatever that was being offered to them for free.

In the Bible – Exodus 16:4, God rained down manna for the Israelites to feed on after delivering them from the Egyptians, yet they still murmured and complained about the manna Numbers 11:1-9.

Life is a free gift of nature, awarded by the Supreme Being of nature. Be grateful for life, weather, and the everlasting free gifts of nature. time is a commodity for the living and a resourceful tool of nature.

We thank God for a wonderful rainy season which heralds the promised divine showers of blessings.

THE WEALTH OF INFORMATION

Information is very vital and what distinguished you from any other person is what you know and what the other doesn't know. We are in an information age and the world is being globalised with the technology of information. Access to information these days is easy due to internet, phones, laptops and the likes.

I was amazed recently when I was shown how I could synchronise my watsapp with my computer through web.whatsapp.com , and chat easily. An old adage information is power cannot be overemphasized as it's significance and importance reverberates through time and space reshaping, re-orientating and revolutionizing an individual,groups,generations and the world.

Internet and social networking has proved to be very prominent in the dissemination of information. Conventional ways of journalism through newspapers are being quickly replaced by the access to news online. People hardly buy newspapers these day since important global information is quickly accessible online through blogs and websites.

An information can also help you to make the right choice in investing your money and reaping from it. E-commerce is quickly taken over conventional means of shopping since online stores are always open 24 hours and you can place your orders and get it delivered to you. Everyday is an opportunity to acquire knowledge through information.

We have to keep educating ourselves by keeping abreast to latest information on different subject matters.

The bible also highlights the need to acquire knowledge and in Proverbs 18:15 says “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”

We are implored to keep reading and stay abreast to information.

When you buy a product be it electric gadget, or even a medicine you have to read the manual first to know how to operate it or read the prescription for the medicine. Only a fool with take a medicine without reading the dosage and instructions.

A specific information can save your life.

Be informed and stay informed in order to tap into the treasures and wealth of information, remain blessed as you read your bible daily which has treasured information from God.

THE HEART OF GRATITUDE

Gratitude is one of the keys to unlock the doors of success, prosperity and overflowing blessings. Watching a mother dot over her child who played carelessly and wandered into the streets while she sold banana and bottles of groundnut by a busy roadside awakened my spirit to a mothers natural love and care for her child which can never be repaid but a heart of gratitude towards this everlasting love and care would go a long way if the child realises that.

In this modern world of advanced technology dominated by smart-phones, internet driven world ranging from e-commerce, e-banking, e-learning (*e- electronic) and a host of other internet related activities which includes games and entertainment facilitating human life, howbeit the security disadvantages can make the world a more ungrateful place to be.

People that lived in the older days where this technolgy and gadgets where not available, are more grateful with learning to be patient and living one day at a time with much gratitude to nature and humankind with primitive farm labour and handwork.

I could flash back on a picture I saw sometime ago of a boy having all the gadgets, from Ipad, Laptop computer, Phones, Electronic TV sets, DVDs, and Arcade Video games and yet was frowning and discontented while a boy pictured in a village playing with a handmade toy made of wood and a paint bowl cover was excited and had an attitude of contentment and gratitude.

The dangers of ingratitude can be dire and detrimental. Life is a gift, awarded by the Supreme Being to a fortunate human being. We should be grateful for life and appreciate every single act of kindness towards one another.

There was a spectacular scenario of gratitude and thanksgiving in the bible which highlighted the sapient tale of "The Ten Lepers" healed by our Lord Jesus Christ, but only one came back to give thanks to the Lord. (Luke 17:11-19)

Gratitude and thanksgiving seals one testimony and makes it permanent while also promoting more grace, peace, good luck, prosperity, overflowing blessings in the life of a grateful heart.

Ingratitude and complaining promotes impatience, depression, hate, envy, and a host of other pessimistic vibes and attitudes.

Maintain a heart of gratitude and tap into the overflowing blessings attached with gratitude and thanksgiving.

THE HELPERS OF DESTINY

Destiny is one of my favourite words because of it's profound spiritual and physical insight. The world has been shaped and remolded by destiny.

The helpers of destiny are people who re-activate and re-align the destinies of individuals. There are simply part of God's plan to actualise destinies.

They can be in form of friends, families and even our foes or enemies, strangers are not left out of destiny helpers. Circumstances and events can also help in aiding or reshaping destiny.

The saying “Your destiny is in your hands”, can be appropriately linked to “Your helpers of destiny are in God's hand”.

Am a living testimony of destiny. Growing up in Anglophone and Francophone West African countries, changed my perspective to life, and realigned my destiny.

Destiny is God's original undiluted plan for your life howbeit various deviations and distraction, hence the saying “Destiny can be delayed but not changed” may sound very appropriate. Timely discovery of destiny is pivotal to timely success.

I've had friends, family members and strangers that acted as helpers of my destiny. A significant scenario was a friend I met while schooling for my degree course in International Relations in Benin Republic. He played a heroic role in realigning God's plan for my life and achieving what I was set out for. Challenging and life threatening situations I had encountered earlier on culminated into a victorious achievement while having foes or perceived enemies playing a major role in realizing my destiny.

We should however never forget the fact that the destroyers of destiny are always lurking around like vampires to terminate God intended destinies and their mission is a far cry from the angelic mission of the helpers of destiny.

Moses in the bible was called by God for a mission he couldn't have achieved alone but with the help of destiny helpers he was able to lead the Isrealites out of Egypt. (Ex. 31:1-6)

Joseph's brothers in the bible actually acted as enemies but helped him realise and fulfill his divine purpose and destiny. 

(Gen. 37:1-50)

Naaman captain of the Syrian army met his destiny helper when he heeded to the advice of his Hebrew maid and reluctantly went ahead and dipped himself in the Jordan river before he was healed of his leprosy. (2 Kings 5:1-19)

You will encounter your destiny helpers speedily this week in the name of Jesus and fulfill your promised destiny.
